As filming of "A Place Beyond the Pines" continues in Schenectady, Eva Mendes is being seen more and more on the streets of the city.  Yesterday, Mendes was seen wearing a blue velour dress, espardrilles, hair partially swept up and carrying a baby.  Of course, she was carrying the baby as part of the scene they were shooting in a section of Hamilton Hill.  Film makers rented out a house on Watt Street to portray Mendes' character's home in the movie.

Mendes plays a single mother who is visited by Ryan Gosling's character, a motorcycle stunt rider who turns to robbing banks in order to provide support to his out-of-wedlock son.  In the particular scene shot yesterday, Gosling rides his motorcycle to Mendes' home to confront her about the paternity of her baby.

Bradley Cooper was not spotted yesterday, however; his character is a police officer who later becomes a politician.  My guess is he investigates the bank robberies that take place through out the movie, but that's just my personal speculation.

According to observers of yesterday's filming, Mendes looked radiant.  The 5-foot-6-inch actress looked more like a 6-foot model with makeup and hair artists following her around with an umbrella so she didn't get rained on.  Eva was very friendly to those watching from afar, trying to get her attention during the takes.  She promises to take pictures with fans and sign autographs when she was done with the finishing.  So cool, right?!?!

Have you wondered into Schenectady to try and spot some of the Hollywood stars?  If so, let us know.  Maybe you shot some pictures, too?
