The American Red Cross has an app called Hurricane that is free and available for Android or IOS.  Here's a description.  You can even use it for a flashlight!

Another one is MyRadar Weather Radar (free for IOS).  According to the article, it has 4 million downloads.

But of course, the best local source for information is right here.  Again, be safe and be over- prepared.   We'd much rather hear you complain after the storm that we didn't shut up about it than you be "caught short" because we never mentioned it!
