I love a cowgirl!  So I was so excited to find out that one of our great local riders is making it big!
Mesalands Community College has announced their Rodeo Team for the 2015-2016 season and Erica Chase of Galaway is a member!
Erica is a recipient of the Stampede Rodeo Scholarship and competes in barrel racing.
She will major in University Studies at Mesalands.
Forty-three student athletes, representing over 10 different states, are competing on the Mesalands Rodeo Team this year.
Mesalands Rodeo Coach, Timothy Abbott said,
“More than just the numbers, the talent level of our team is just outstanding!”
“We have been trying to reiterate over and over to our student athletes that they don’t have to do anything outside their comfort zone, or anything above the abilities they have shown during practice. They are good enough already. They just need to believe in themselves and perform when the lights are on.”
The Mesalands Rodeo Team will kick off the spring season in March and will host their spring rodeo competition in April.
Good luck Erica!
