July has been a hot month in the Capital Region, and it looks like the heat streak will continue next month.

According to the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center, the chances of a warmer than average August are pretty good. So after a hot July, we can get ready for more fun in the sun next month.

Maybe you enjoy the hot weather, maybe you don't. But they are also predicting drier weather, which won't be great for the NY areas experiencing drought, according to NewYorkUpstate.com.

So get ready to get out and enjoy the outdoors next month if you like the heat, and hopefully get we get some rain, midweek, to off set the drier conditions throughout the state.
