Radio is still the fastest and most reliable way to get emergency information out to the public.  In the wake of recent snow storms, power outages, hurricanes, and tropical storms GNA stayed on the air to keep the public informed, something an Ipod or Computer Jukebox can't do.

As a friendly reminder, on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 the first ever National Test of the Emergency Alert System will take place in the afternoon hours.  All radio and television stations in America will participate in the test.  Please inform your friends and neighbors, so they don't panic when the test is launched.
