Hollywood icon and legend Elizabeth Taylor passed away at the age of 79. According to sources, Taylor had been battling with health issues including congestive heart failure for numerous years.  Taylor was hospitalized six weeks ago.  She passed away peacefully at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

Taylor will be most remembered for her beauty, her prestige, her glamour, her style & sophistication, her women's fashion lines and fragances, as well as her success in acting.  She won two Academy Awards for "Butterfield 8" and "Who's Afraid of Viriginia Woolf?"  Taylor also started the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation in memory of her friend Rock Hudson.  According to the BBC, her charitable work was monetarily comparable to her acting career.
