His plan is to supply prison inmates with college classes so they can get a college degree.

In the story from News 10 ABC, he believes that the associates or bachelor’s degree would help the inmates from returning to a life of crime after they’re released and not return to prison.

According to Cuomo, if the proposal is approved, this program is expected to cost five-thousand dollars per year per inmate in taxpayer money. The college programs would be in different areas of New York state, at 10 state prisons.

Some officials have expressed their concerns about the plan. What are your thoughts about the plan? Please take our poll.
