East Greenbush Big Lots Set To Close?

Word from employees is the East Greenbush Bit Lots will be shutting down.

While the Big Lots itself has not announced their East Greenbush store is closing, a Times Union report is saying employees say the landlord is not renewing the stores lease and the location will be closing. The report says the store will close sometime in January. While it will be a bummer this store is closing Big Lots does have other stores in Troy, Clifton Park and Colonie.

So what will end up in the Big Lots location? The Times Union report says the building will be renovated and a training facility for state workers could be the next tenant.

Hopefully any employees affected by the closing will be able to transfer to another Big Lots in the area. It is always tough watching a business close and seeing it affect people; hopefully the other Big Lots locations in the area can minimize the closing's impact.
