Vermont is looking to boost their population, so they have put an incentive program to attract new residents.

If you are willing to make the move across the border to Vermont, the state will pay up to $10,000 for your moving costs and expenses with their new Remote Worker Grant Program.

According to the Times Union, Vermont is looking to grow their population by attracting young residents with the up to a $10,000 move in incentive. Governor Phil Scott has signed in to a law the program that will pay the money to new residents who work remotely out of state. The law goes into effect January 1, 2019 and qualifying workers must e employed out of state and would have to work in a home office or a shared work space.

So basically, if you have been thinking about relocating to the Green Mountain State and you can work remotely, this is the program for you. Unless you are taking a new job or being relocated, it is very rare to have your moving costs covered. This is a chance to do just that!
