I have to be honest, giving you the news of people passing away is getting a bit to common this last week first it was David Bowie, then Alan Rickman and now this news which for me hits the hardest of all, Glenn Frey has passed away from complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis and Pneumonia according to "Rolling Stone".

WE had just learned that he recently had surgery and had fallen ill when the band postponed receiving their award from the Kennedy Center Honors until next year so that Glenn could recuperate. According to the press release at the time they had said it was  "a recurrence of previous intestinal issues, which will require major surgery and a lengthy recovery period,"

Just taking a quick look at his Wikipedia page I'm reminded of just how talented he was, Frey played guitar with Eagles as well as piano and keyboards and sang lead vocals on many Eagles hits such as "Take It Easy", "Peaceful Easy Feeling", "Tequila Sunrise", "Already Gone", "Lyin' Eyes", "New Kid in Town", and "Heartache Tonight". As well as the hits he had as a solo artist in the 80's after the band broke up.

He will be surely missed but as with the other artists we have recently lost, he has left a long legacy that will be enjoyed by countless generations to come.

Rest in Peace Glenn Frey.
