With the weather turning cooler, you can feel that fall is in the air. My wife Linda, and I have made this an annual tradition. We take a a little time and take a drive to the beautiful countryside of Broadalbin, to walk around the Eagle Mills Cider Mill and Family Fun Park.

This year, it’s this weekend, September 17 and 18, and next weekend September 24 and 25. They have plenty of vendors selling crafts and food. She likes the crafts. I like the food, although I will see what she’s looking at to get an idea of what she may want for Christmas. We both enjoy just walking around.

It’s a great place to bring the kids, too. One of the first things you’ll see when you walk in is the 100 year working water wheel, which powers the cider mill and ice cream maker. The one thing I really look forward to is said in just two words – cider doughnuts. I like to get them while they’re still warm. Of course we’ll get some Eagle Mills cider, too.

The admission is free, but there’s a $5 dollar per car parking fee, but partial proceeds are donated to a local charity. Their hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Why don’t you make plans to bring your family and enjoy it as much as Linda and I do?
