A 33-year-old Schenectady man was stopped by New York State Police because they allegedly spotted him breaking some traffic laws.

The traffic stop happened on Route 30 in Amsterdam. For some reason that we’re not sure about, during the traffic stop, at first, Mark Baldwin was denying having any marijuana in his vehicle. After a few minutes, he allegedly admitted that there was some pot in a small bag in the center console of the vehicle. That totaled about 10 grams. According to the story from News 10 ABC, troopers charged Baldwin with possession.

The story doesn’t end there. Baldwin allegedly asked the trooper if he could keep his bag of pot. He apparently told the trooper that he had to wait more than an hour to get the pot, and was going to his girlfriend’s house to smoke it.
