Duanesburg Area Community Center’s “DACC Rap” -Reading, Writing and Rhyming [VIDEO]

That's right.  You guessed it.  We never close here at the Reading, Writing and Rhyming Tour.  It continues long after the school year ends.  On to summer camps we go.  Here is the first one for the season - the Duanesburg Area Community Center.

Camp director Courtney Houck graciously asked me back again this year, and I was glad to do it.  (Sorry, Matt. I didn't get your last name, but nice working with you again too!)

The kids were of various ages, which sometimes makes it a challenge, especially when some are too young to read the lyrics they come up with on the easel!  But I was astounded at how well everyone worked together to put create this little jingle for their really beautiful center (you should see their swimming pool!)

But I digress.  Here's the catchy rap that they came up with (lyrics below)

 We're the kids from Duanesburg - everybody clap

 Time GNA listeners to do the DACC Rap!

 We swim and play kickball - We go on lots of trips

 And sometimes at lunchtime, we eat potato chips

 Then we go on nature walks, right here at the DACC

 Every year we come here - we love to come back

We all really love it - here at the DACC
