A 28-year-old man from Schenectady paved the driveway of a senior couple in Guilderland last year, but

allegedly took some extra payments that were worth a lot more than the job was worth. Michael Fink was accused of taking more than $14,000 dollars of additional payments for the paving job, which was only worth about $2,500 dollars.

Someone that works for the couple’s bank discovered the alleged scam and then contacted the Guilderland Police. That led to Fink’s arrest. Fink was in court for the case on Wednesday, and pleaded guilty.

In the story from CBS 6 Albany, Fink’s sentencing will be in September, and he may be going to state prison for possibly three years.
