Country Music legend Dolly Parton is enjoying some great success with her new album Blue Smoke.

The megastar recently debuted at Number 6 on the Billboard 200 All-Genre Pop Chart, making it her highest solo chart entry on that list ever! As part of the Trio, with Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt, Parton hit Number 6 with the Trio album in 1987. As far as solo work, the highest entry on the Billboard Pop Albums Chart came in 1981 with 9 to 5 (and other odd jobs), which stalled at Number 11.

In a time when the focus of music is on new, young, modern, hip and crossover sounds, we are all proud of the 68 year-old Country Music Hall of Famer and the success of her new traditional country-bluegrass album.

In case you're wondering, the new album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Charts. In all, Parton has had 42 Top Ten Country Albums with 6 of them going to Number 1.
