It was recently announced that certain hotels on Walt Disney World properties will now accept dogs. As you know, nothing at Disney is inexpensive, and having your dog with you on your vacation won't be either. I, personally, love Disney and vacationing at Walt Disney World. However, I would never bring my dog Freddie to Disney. But starting this week, four hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort will allow dogs. Two dogs will be allowed per room, and there are pet walkways, green spaces for exercise and the dogs to do their business.

There are certain sections of each hotel designated as being dog friendly and away from guests who are allergic or afraid. Pet day care is also available for an additional fee if you are busy at the parks. All doggie guests get a Pluto Welcome Kit with dog bowl, mat, ID tag, poop bags, walking maps and a "Do Not Disturb" door tag.

Even though I won't bring Fred to Disney, there have been times I had to travel with my dogs and stay in pet friendly hotels. Here is a website that is helpful if you have to travel within New York state to find a resting place with your furry friend when you are on the road.
