Dog Tied To A Post And Abandoned By Its Owner

On a very hot day, a  6-month-old puppy named Amelia was recently found tied to a post in

Gloversville, with the owner allegedly never intending to return and get the dog. This happened along the Rail Trail, a popular walking path.

In a story from News 10 ABC, when some of the residents of the Glove City found out about this case of animal abandonment, they were furious and took action. Gloversville Police took the owner, 20-year-old Kayla Bothel of Gloversville, into custody and charged her with animal abandonment. She has a later court date.

The folks at Regional Animal Center in Gloversville, took Amelia in , and will be trying to find her a loving home.and have been caring for her.
