So with Christmas coming, I'm sure your house may get a new board game or two. I just saw an interesting study that showed that Moms are far more likely to let their kids beat them at games than Dads. I guess it goes with the whole boosting self esteem, nobody's a loser , everyone gets a trophy thing.

I have always thought not only do kids need to actually KNOW they legitimately won at something to get true self esteem but really once you beat Dad, is it even fun to play anymore? Lord forbid you play again and let Dad get revenge.

I’m not going to take it easy on the kids. Nope - I’m playing to WIN!

You know who else had competitive dads who probably didn't let their kids win at board games?  Really successful people, people who are known for being the greatest of all time at what they do - people like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Peyton Manning and Kobe Bryant.

So what do you think?  Do you let junior win when you play a game during family game night or are you going to try your best to beat them?
