So much to tell you after a huge weekend and lots of country artists making the rounds. Fallen IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon’s funeral was this past Saturday morning in St. Petersburg, Florida. Wynonna Judd was one of the many in attendance and also sang “Amazing Grace” and “I Can Only Imagine.” The 33-year old driver is survived by his wife and two young sons.
Willie Nelson’s tour bus is up for auction. The 1986 Eagle 10 motor coach will be for sale in Mississauga, Ontario in Canada. The bus has been Willie’s home amongst other things since 1999. The bus includes a full bathroom, six bunks, artwork by an artist known as Rainmaker, 330 cubic feet and a 130 gallon diesel fuel tank.
Jason Aldean has extended his “My Kinda Party” tour into 2012 and is adding Luke Bryan to the lineup, as a special guest. The closest date, to us here in Albany, is East Rutherford, NJ. The tour was suppose to end this Friday in San Diego, California, but that original plan has obviously changed.
The Dixie Chicks are back in the spotlight with their VH1 ‘Storytellers’ performance from 2006 coming out on DVD and Blue Ray, November 29th. The track listing includes 11 songs including, “Wide Open Spaces,” “Cowboy Take Me Away,” and “Not Ready to Make Nice.”
