October is just a few days away and though it may seem early to start decorating for Halloween, haunted places are year round and here's a local place that may make your hair stand on end.

Yaddo Gardens is kind of already a spooky creepy place because there's only a section of it that the general population is allowed in. Aside from that, it's private and you have to be invited inside.

The most talked about area is the "Four Seasons" where you'll find four marble statues. According to OnlyInYourState.com, these statues have been on the property for 100 years. People have reported that they feel the spirits of the Trask children (the children of the original owners of Yaddo who each died at a young age).

There are also other points of the garden that people have seen spirits, some with more recognizable names like Edgar Allan Poe who apparently used to have a cabin there. If you're interested in checking it out for yourself, they're offering ghost tours for $10 every Friday and Saturday at 5:00PM through October 29th, call 518-584-0746.
