Swimmer Diana Nyad is attempting another extreme challenge!  You remember her name because just last month she completed a record-breaking swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark tank!

Now she's planning on swimming for 48 hours continuously!  Why, you ask?  Well, it's for a good cause!  She's swimming to support Superstorm Sandy recovery efforts!

A 42,000-gallon, 120-foot-long pool is set up at Herald Square in Midtown Manhattan for the swim-a-thon.

She started her swim this morning at 9!  Her plan is to keep on swimming until Thursday!

So, while you are having dinner with your family, sleeping, working, shopping, or whatever it is that you'll be doing for the next couple of days, just think... you could be swimming!
