The owner of an Albany area jewelry store has been arrested and charged with two counts of Grand Larceny.

He allegedly stole almost $38,000 dollars worth of diamonds from a Rochester area jewelry store.

47-year-old Michael Brown from Rensselaer owns Pretty Little Things which is a store in the Rensselaer Amtrak station. Brown ordered the diamonds from Rochester Diamonds in Greece, New York. The problem is he allegedly never paid for them. He’s also been accused of selling them.

According to the story from News 10 ABC, the shipments of the diamonds happened back in September. According to a spokesperson from the New York State Police, Brown admitted to not being able to pay for the jewels. He also allegedly admitted that he doesn’t know where they are now.

Authorities have not found the alleged missing jewels, yet.
