Dale Earnhardt Jr. is out for the next two races.

It has been announced by Hendrick Motors that Dale Earnhardt Jr. will miss the next two races at Michigan and Darlington.

Earnhardt Jr., has been out the last 5 races with concussion symptoms.  Rick Hendrick said that Dale is following his doctor’s orders and doing what he needs to do to get better.

This week in Michigan, Alex Bowman, who drove for Junior at New Hampshire will drive on Sunday at Michigan for Earnhardt Jr. Jeff Gordon will get back in the car and drive for Jr. at Darlington.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been very open with fans about his concussion symptoms.  He’s been on pod casts and twitter talking about his therapy, letting fans know he wants to get back in the car.

Who knows what the next two weeks will bring, but Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be out a total of at least seven weeks.
