Countryfest’s Sheryl Crow To Open ACMs With Blake Shelton and Others
Sunday, April 7, 2103 the biggest names in Country Music take over CBS for the Academy Of Country Music Awards. As we get closer to the show we’re learning about some of the show’s highlights.
Countryfest’s Sheryl Crow is scheduled to appear in the opening number with Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley (pictured above), Luke Bryan and the Pistol Annies. The super collaboration is expected to have a good time singing Shelton’s new song ‘Boys ‘Round Here.’
Crow is making a transition to Country Music after selling over 50 million records in the pop and rock genre. However, through the years, the ‘All I Wanna Do (Is Have Some Fun)’ singer has been a good friend and fan to Country Music, appearing on tribute albums to June Carter and Hank Williams to singing on the remake of Loretta Lynn’s ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter.’
Check out Sheryl Crow’s new country single ‘Easy,’ then watch her tribute to Loretta Lynn. Better yet, go see the music icon live at WGNA’s Countryfest on Saturday, July 13, 2013. The 2013 ACM’s also plan to honor Dick Clark with a special appearance by George Strait and Garth Brooks.
