Country 107.7 WGNA Countryfest – July 9, 2011
Here’s all of the information you could possibly need for Countryfest 2011- the biggest annual event in the Albany area! Year after year Country 107.7 WGNA-FM brings you the very best in not only country music but brings it to you live with Countryfest. Past performers have included Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Lonestar, Toby Keith, Faith Hill, Billy Ray Cyrus, Travis Tritt, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, and many more! Music is of course the focus of our festival but we also have plenty of great food vendors on hand and other activities to make it a great day for the entire family, you and your buddies, and everyone else that goes!

Parking gates for WGNA Countryfest 2011 will open at 7:30am. Infield gates open at 11am and the show starts at 1pm.

LINEUP
MIRANDA LAMBERT
Miranda Lambert was born Nov. 10, 1983, and is a native of Lindale, Texas. Inspired by Garth Brooks she entered a talent contest and started the path to country music stardom.
Randy Houser
Randy is from Mississippi and was born into a family of musicians. He started off as as song writer and until the bug to perform bit him.
John Michael Montgomery
John Michael has had 15 number one singles and continues to be a country music powerhouse. He jokes in his official bio that while growing up in a musical family that “where most people have chairs and sofas in their living rooms, we have amplifiers and drum kits.”
Sunny Sweeney
Sunny grew up in Texas and originally aspired to be a comedian – but we’re glad she went down the path of country music instead.
Brett Eldredge
Brett is from Illinois and has other musical members of his family such as cousin Terry Eldredge of The Grascals. He began and a songwriter and then later began performing
Joanna Smith
Joanna was born and raised (and still lives in) Georgia. She was recently signed to Columbia Records. Joanna visited WGNA a few months ago and we’re eager for her return!
