It is amazing how country artists are with their fans. Being here at WGNA for just a few months has really opened my eyes to how country artist treat, value and care about their fans. This country superstar made time to visit a fan that was paralyzed just a few days before the concert. Thomas Schoettle, a seventeen year old Zac Brown Band fan, was paralyzed after a swimming pool accident where he dove into the shallow end and injured his head and neck.  A family friend reached out on social media to Zac Brown to tell him how Thomas was injured and that he wasn't able to see his favorite band in concert.

The Zac Brown Band concert was in Philadelphia on Saturday night (the show that Thomas was supposed to attend) so when Zac saw the post, he flew to the hospital on Sunday to visit him.

Thomas was overwhelmed meeting his favorite artist. Zac stayed for quite awhile and they talked. He autographed several items, visited with the hospital staff and gave Thomas tickets to next year's show. His family said that the visit lifted Thomas' spirits and Zac Brown told him to keep a positive attitude.

Thomas' family took videos of the visit that you can see here.
