Fans of both country music and baseball are being treated well the next few days.

American Idol Winner Scotty McCreery sang our National Anthem before Game 1 of the World Series last night. Even though he had microphone problems, he handled it like a pro! Although with a slight flub of the lyrics. NO Jose’???

Scotty isn’t the only Country Music star who will be singing the Star Spangled Banner at this year’s Fall Classic. Tonight, Trace Adkins will sing before Game 2 and Ronnie Dunn will sing his rendition of the song on Saturday night in Texas.

Country stars are not uncommon singing the National Anthem at the World Series. In the last few years we have seen Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood.

Even though I don’t really care about the two teams in the Series, I at least have something to look forward to.
