One of the stars that performed at the 2015 Taste Of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain this past Saturday was Tracy Lawrence.Tracy had most of his big country hits in the 1990s. It’s been a while since most of us had heard from Tracy, but the wait was well worth it. He hit the stage and sang plenty of his hits, and he sounded just as great as he always did.

Taking a break from our broadcast loft, I met up with Sean McMaster and Heather Davis, and stopped to catch some of Tracy’s performance. It brought back some good memories and also brought to mind some of his greatest hits like ‘Stars Over Texas’, ‘Sticks And Stones’ and ‘If The World Had A Front Porch’.

I may have missed some of those in his set, but what I did get to see and hear were three of his biggest hits. One of those songs that I almost forgot about was ‘Paint Me A Birmingham’. The other two were crowd favorites ‘Time Marches On’ and ‘Find Out Who Your Friends Are’. The cool part of this was seeing one of the stars that recorded the song with him join him in stage – Tim McGraw. It was definitely a memorable performance. I think that some people thought that the other star that recorded the song with Tracy and Tim, Kenny Chesney might have sneaked in to the show.

I also got the chance to talk with Tracy before he had to go on stage. He told me about some of the projects that he’s been working on. Let’s just say it sounds like he may be even busier now than he used to be. Check out the interview.
