Country Comes To The Ballroom On Sunset

WGNA listeners are always asking me where to go for Country Line Dance Lessons and Country Dance Nights. Sadly, there are very few venues in the Albany Area that actually offer all-country music for dancing.  However, we're happy to announce that Country Dancing now has a new home on Tuesday nights at the Ballroom on Sunset in Latham.

One of the areas premier dance halls welcomes Country Line and Couples Dancing on Tuesday nights.  The 4,400 square foot wooden dance floor is already a favorite amongst the Zumba and Ballroom dance crowd, now line dancers will have the chance to Boot Scoot and Tush Push on the big floor.

All-Country Tuesday Nights (...and yes, the music will be All-Country) will feature line dance lessons for all levels at 7:30 with open dancing for both line and couples til 9:30.  Plus, the luxury of the overflowing wooden dance floor gives everyone the chance to dance their own dances, in addition to what is called on the floor.

Saturday, October 27, 2012- Country Costume Dance Party, 6:30-10pm. $10- costumes optional.

Saturday, December 8, 2012- Mini Winter Workshop with Tony Marcantonio and Duke Alexander, 5:30-10pm. $12. food available.
