 2008- Carrie Underwood's song "Before He Cheats" wins twice during the 50th annual Grammy Awards.  Carrie gets Best Female Country Vocal Performance and composers Josh Kear and Chris Tompkins get the award for Best Country Song.

1998- "How Do I Live," written by Diane Warren and performed by Trisha Yearwood receives an Oscar nomination for best original song from the movie "Con Air."  LeAnn Rimes originally recorded the song, but the producers of the movie decided to use Trisha's version.
