 2008- Carrie Underwood’s song ”Before He Cheats” wins twice during the 50th annual Grammy Awards.  Carrie gets Best Female Country Vocal Performance and composers Josh Kear and Chris Tompkins get the award for Best Country Song.

1998- “How Do I Live,” written by Diane Warren and performed by Trisha Yearwood receives an Oscar nomination for best original song from the movie “Con Air.”  LeAnn Rimes originally recorded the song, but the producers of the movie decided to use Trisha’s version.

1979- Every Which Way But Loose- Eddie Rabbitt

1951- There’s Been A Change In Me- Eddy Arnold

Birthdays:

Lionel Cartwright, 1960.  Lionel has a few modest hits on MCA from 1988-1992 with “Leap Of Faith,” “Give Me His Last Chance” and “I Watched It All On My Radio.”
