Country Artists & Their New Year’s Resolutions

Did you set a New Year's resolution for yourself?  Today’s Taste of Country is all about the New Year’s Resolutions. .

Taylor Swift has set a goal for the next few years to provide her fans with what they’ve always liked about her music while continuing to write her own songs.  She’d also like to make some collaborations that are unexpected and in different directions.

Lady Antebellum’s Dave Haywood said that with their heavy tour schedule, he hopes to continue to balance home with work.  He said their personal life is where they get their inspiration for their songs.

Miranda Lambert’s New Year’s resolution is to write a song that will be nominated for song of the year.  She thinks that will be “huge” for her!  Her five-year resolution is to get entertainer of the year.  Her tour kicks off next Thursday, the 12^th, in Rockford, Illinois.  And her hubby Blake Shelton’s wish for the New Year is not about his career, but one that he helped with on “The Voice.”  Blake said, “I really would like to see Dia’s record take off and do well, and Xenia has made a great record. My heart is there for them.”  How can you not love that guy?  Blake is looking forward to season two of the show and added that “having established artists as coaches is the “cool thing” about the reality series, because they all have “a different vision for what ‘The Voice’ is.”

Big news for all you Zac Brown Band fans.  They are nearly finished with their third studio album and will be released some time this summer.  The band also hits the road January 20^th with their tour beginning in Las Vegas.  Most of the released dates of their tour are in the Midwest or on the west coast.
