Store managers of the Brunswick Walmart contacted The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department after they discovered some counterfeit money inside of the cash drawers of three different registers.

With the help of the security surveillance video, one of the four suspects was identified by authorities and arrested. 20-year-old Regginald Pass from Troy, was charged with Grand Larceny, Criminal Possession Of A Forged Instrument and Petit Larceny. Authorities are now in search of three other suspects.

Almost $2,000 dollars in counterfeit cash was used to purchase gift cards. The phony money was either in $50 dollar bills or $100 dollar bills.
