Two bills are being introduced to the New York Senate and the State Assembly with goals leading to the legalization of marijuana. If all were to go as planned it would be for not only the recreational usage of the drug but also for it to be a profitable business to sell to those over 21 years of age.

What's been seen in states where the bills have passed is a booming business that has been wildly profitable. As an example, in Colorado alone, they reported about $1 billion in tax revenue. Not million, billion!

With our neighboring state of Massachusetts on board as of November of 2016, it seems that the perception of recreational marijuana has drastically changed over the years, from being frowned upon to acceptable. So, while some still believe it to be unlikely to pass here in New York, there's always the hope.

Are you for or against the legalization of marijuana? Do you think it could be just as profitable in New York as it has been for Colorado?
