It's September but that doesn't mean the heat is going away any time soon. We are in for another heat wave this week and one Capital Region city is setting up cooling stations to help their residents. It's another hot one in the Capital Region and Troy is making sure that everyone is able to stay cool. According to News 10 ABC, Troy has many cooling station open this week. The stations are open in four Troy neighborhoods. The Troy Fire Department has them open today (Monday September 3rd), tomorrow (Tuesday September 4th), and Wednesday September 5th from noon until 6pm.

There are also splash pads set up in various parks throughout the city. They are, Frear Park, Prospect Park, Knickerbacker Park and Riverfront Park. The Troy Housing Authority will allow residents to access to their six Splash Pad Play Areas located at Phelan Court, Fallon Apartments, Griswold Heights, Martin Luther King Apartments, the Taylor Apartments and Corliss Park.

The cooling stations are set up in the following locations.

Lansingburgh
120th Street Park
(120th Street and 1st Ave.)

Little Italy
Little Italy Market Place
(5th Avenue, Liberty and Hill Streets)

North Central
7th Ave Park
(Ingalls Avenue and 7th Ave.)

South Troy
Canal Street Park
(3rd Street and Canal Ave.)
