Columnist Makes Worst Fake Dating Profile Ever and Gets Unbelievable Response
A writer from LA, Alli Reed, wanted to experiment a little bit with online dating. She created the worst online dating profile ever! And, in the first 24 hours she received over 150 responses!
Her fake name was ‘aaroncarterfan,’ on OKCupid.com and she used a picture of her best friend who is a model, ‘hoping to prove that there exists an online dating profile so loathsome that no man would message it,’ despite how attractive the picture is.
In the post she said she is ‘mean, spoiled, lazy, racist, manipulative and even a gold digger.’ She said ’I'm really good at convincing people im pregnat (sic) lol,’ and she ended ‘the first things people usually notice about me’ with, ‘Prolly (sic) the first thing they notice is the drink Im throwing in there (sic) face LOL.’ Nice.
She said she likes to drink, do drugs, and ‘keep America American.’ One of her pictures is her in a bikini in a pool with the caption ‘I’m PEEING right now!’
She also said she was unemployed but couldn’t live without ‘$$$’ and cars and went on to say she enjoyed knocking coffee out of homeless people’s hands because it was ‘sooooooo funny.’ Her parents pay for her law school, but she’s not really going to classes at all and ‘its awesome.’
After so many men looked past her horrific profile and messaged her anyway, she set her sights to getting them to stop talking to her, so she responded to their inquiries with more ridiculousness! She told one gentleman caller that she likes to pretend to be a 14-year-old on Facebook to make fun of her sister’s friends because ‘LMAOOOOO bullying is fun.’
But, the guy responded with: ‘Lol your so funny. hahaha. you a sexy devil lol :) so dose ur sis know about it? Any plans for the weekend? Btw what’s ur number so we can text?’
To another man, she wrote: ‘ya lol i fake bein pregnant so much that im like amazing at it, i deserve a nobel proze for it lol. ppl will give u whatever u want if they think ur pregnant SPECIALLY if they think there the dad, omg lol (sic)’
The men kept messaging.
So she threatened to ruin their lives. She told them she’d give them mermaid tattoos and pull their teeth out. It seems that only turned them on more. Hmmmm….
In her article about her experiment she said she could follow her first instinct and ‘invest in a high-quality chastity belt and start collecting cats.’ But instead she decided to ‘stay optimistic and instead offer an impassioned plea.’
She gives some advice to women - ’Don’t settle. Figure out how to be happy with who you are and then look for someone who makes your great life even better.’
Not sure I’d come out of that experiment with a lot of hope! Nice work Alli!
