County Waste has partnered with us to honor those in our communities who are truly making a difference.

All throughout 2017 -'18, we will be recognizing one “hero” per month based on their inspirational feats, work helping their neighbors, and everyday passion.

This month we honor Jack Daigneault, a Firefighter of over 38 years in Cohoes, NY.

Not only has Daigneault dedicated his life to serving his community as his career; he's also gone a step further with the Cheer for Children campaign. This campaign is all about making sure the kids of Cohoes have gifts to open each Christmas. Jack's nominator Betsy even says that Jack gives up his time and his Christmas Eve with his family to make sure that as many children as possible get a good Christmas - that's what's important to him, and that says a lot about his character.

Jack was also a part of the crew of firemen who risked their lives to end the recent and devastating Cohoes fire. We are so thankful to have people like Jack in our community.

Here's to you, Jack - we wish the very best for you, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you do. Click here to see how you can nominate a hero for the month of January, and learn more about Jack from his interview with the Morning Show-
