Cobleskill Village Attorney Arrested For Buying A Stolen Television

A Cobleskill village attorney, 57-year-old Lee Hartjen, was recently arrested by New York State Police for allegedly buying a stolen 60 inch flat screen tv.

In a story that I saw on News 10 ABC, Hartjen allegedly bought the tv from 51-year-old John Giakoumakis, also from Cobleskill. He allegedly stole the tv from a home in Davenport in Delaware County.

This all happened after a month long investigation. It was on April 7 that the tv was recovered from Hartlen's home. That's when Hartjen was charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of stolen property and arraigned in Cobleskill Village Court. Giakoumakis was charged with petit larceny by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department.
