CMT held their Music Awards last night in Nashville. I am a big fan of awards shows, so I made sure to check it out. There were lots of great performances such as Big & Rich back together singing their new song “Fake ID“, Luke Bryan with a number of pretty women dancing to “Country Girl (Shake It For Me), Toby Keith singing a new song “Made In America” and a very interesting paring of Jason Aldean and rapper Ludacris to wrap up the show with “Dirt Road Anthem” and “My Kinda Party”.

I made my picks a couple months back and I gotta say, It’s a good thing I’m not a Las Vegas bookie, as I only got 2 of the winners correct.

Now getting back to the winners, one in peticular. JUSTIN BIEBER WON A COUNTRY AWARD??? Are kidding me?  This is why this awards show isn’t taken very seriously. Granted it was a song with Rascal Flatts that he won the award for, but all the other nominees are more country in their little pinky then that little brat will ever be!! Even Kid Rock who isn’t a true country artist has a lot of country sound in his music and was influenced by George Jones and Hank Jr. Who was Justin Bieber’s influence? N’Sync? The Backstreet Boys? Give Me A Break! Ok there, I’m done. Had to get that off my chest!!

What did you think of the awards last night? What was your favorite moment?
