Who Was The CMA Female Vocalist of the Year in 1993?

Mary Chapin Carpenter. Thanks to 1992/93 hits like ‘Passionate Kisses’ ‘He Thinks He’ll Keep Her’ and ‘I Feel Lucky,’ Carpenter became a favorite on Country Radio with her unique singer/songwriter approach. The Princeton, New Jersey native was a nice contrast to the honky tonk traditionalists that made up the majority of the Country charts in the early ‘90s. Carpenter had also earned the honor in 1992.
