1992- Billy Dean is named one of Country Music's best new acts with two ACM awards for New Male Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year for 'Somewhere In My Broken Heart.'  Reba McEntire takes top Female, Garth Brooks is Male Vocalist and the Entertainer of the Year.  The awards are for the 1991 calendar year.

1989- RCA Records releases Clint Black's debut album, 'Killin' Time.' The album contains the hits 'Better Man,' 'Nobody's Home,' 'Walkin' Away,' 'Nothing's News' and the title track.

1989- Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton reunite for the first time in nearly a decade for a concert at Dollywood. In 1967, Porter Wagoner gave Dolly Parton her big break by inviting her to be his duet partner on his popular syndicated television show.
