A 24-year-old man from Clifton Park went to some Albany area Price Chopper stores and allegedly cashed a check that wasn't his. According to an East Greenbush Police Department press release, Harvey J. Wells allegedly stole some checks from a pocketbook that he ‘found’ at a Troy Price Chopper. He then went to the Price Chopper on Columba Turnpike in East Greenbush, allegedly forged the victim's signature on one of the checks, and cashed it.

After some investigating by East Greenbush Police and Troy Police, it was discovered that Wells was the person that allegedly took the pocketbook. He was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 6, and charged with Possession Forged Instrument Second Degree, Possession Of Stolen Property Fifth Degree and Larceny. He has a court date later this month.
