August 18th is the day that Animal Shelters, locally and nationally, will come together for Clear the Shelters. Clear the Shelters is a nationwide pet adoption initiative that aims to connect animals in need with loving new families. Over twenty local shelters will participate in the event that started in 2015 and has since provided forever homes for more than 150,000 pets.
