What a great way to have some fun with the kids and help get you into the holiday spirit.

Tonight, the people in Ballston Spa will be having their holiday parade and tree lighting event. Not long ago, our friends in Greenwich had their Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade, and now it’s time for Ballston Spa to celebrate Christmas and the holidays with their parade.

The hometown style tradition will be starting at 6:30 p.m. on Milton Avenue, continuing all the way to Wiswall Park. This is when Santa Claus will be lighting the Christmas tree.

Before the line of floats, animals, firetrucks and of course Santa march down the main street, there’ll be all kinds of musicians playing and carolers singing. Plus, many of the businesses in the area may have some special things for you to enjoy.

Keep in mind that there will be some road closures for the festivities. One of the main roads that this will affect is Route 50, or Milton Avenue. It sounds like a whole lot of family fun and a great way to start off your weekend. If you want more information, you can call 518-885-2772.

You might not be part of the Ballston Spa community, but it might be worth the drive. I think the kids would love it.
