This story made me weep a little bit and smile at the same time when I first read it, and I felt compelled to share it with you our 1077 'GNA listeners.

This happened at a Kmart in Omaha, Nebraska the heartland of America. A father with dirty work clothes who looked very tired after a long day at work was standing in line to make a payment on his layaway at Kmart in Omaha.

The father knew that no matter how hard he worked he was not going to be able to pay off the layaway for his kids in time for Christmas but nonetheless he was determined to put more money down on it. Out of nowhere, a mysterious woman literally cut in front of him at the layaway line and said "No. I'm paying for it."

The father asked the woman if this was some kind of joke, an he was truly in shock. The lady said "No. It's not a joke, and I'm going to pay off your layaway." When the hard working father realized it was really happening he literally broke down in tears.

This is happening as well at other Kmart stores  in America. In Indianapolis a woman has paid off the layaways of over 50 poor families. She said her husband died and left her well off, and she has no need for the money and knows that he would be smiling to see her doing something good for families and hard working Americans at Christmas.

For the record, Kmart has no idea why this is happening at their stores and it is not in any way shape or form a marketing ploy.

There have been a few instances of this happening at Walmart stores as well. The full story of these Christmas angels is here.

Whoever they are, God Bless them and Merry Christmas to them all.
