Chocolate and Roaches for Valentine’s Day
If you’re looking for that very special gift for Valentine’s Day, you can always give the typical things like, chocolates, roses or jewelry. Or maybe give that special someone a cockroach.
You heard me right, a cockroach. Not just any cockroach, a Madagascar hissing cockroach. I know what you’re thinking, this is just outright gross. In fact, you don’t even have to wrap it up and bring it home, not that you’d want to.
If you remember the “National Star Registry”, where you name a star for someone, this is similar. According to an article from the Associated Press, the Wildlife Conservation Society, who runs the Bronx zoo is raising funds by offering you, or anyone, a chance to name the huge roaches. You’ll need to donate ten dollars, as they’re trying to raise funds for the zoo.
Doesn’t this make you feel all warm and fuzzy, on such a romantic day?
