It may not be the most convenient place to grab some Chick-Fil-A on a whim, but it's finally official: Chick-Fil-A is coming to the Capital Region.

We have been talking about the possibility of Chick-Fil-A coming to the Capital Region for a while now, and it is finally official. According to a Times Union report, the restaurant chain will open a location in the Albany Airport Terminal on March 1, 2018.  The Chick-Fil-A will replace the Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen where the A, B and C concourses all meet.

So, the good news is Albany will finally have a Chick-Fil-A. The bad news is you will need a plane ticket and to get through security at the airport to eat it. Not exactly the most convenient of circumstances if you get a craving for a Chick-Fil-A run.

Hopefully, this is the first domino to fall in getting a regular street location here in Albany. The rumor has been Halfmoon could be the spot - fingers crossed! Four other upstate locations have been announced recently in Buffalo, Plattsburgh, Rochester, and Syracuse.

In the meantime, if you are flying out of Albany sometime after March 1st, you have a little something to look forward to as you wait to board your flight!
