Small Town Tour

It's time for our Fall swing on the Sean and Richie Show's "Small Town Tour". We will be broadcasting live from 4 awesome small towns in the 1077 'GNA listening area every Friday morning in October from 6-10am.

I'm sitting here next to my keyboard with pen in hand.  I'm ready, willing and able to start writing a song for Greenwich NY.

As part of our stop in Schuylerville on the Small Town Tour, I swung by Schuylerville Elementary and we put together a song all about their hometown. Ms. Penniman's class was a lot of fun - and they did a great job with the song too! Check it out!

Our fourth and final stop on the Small Town Tour brought us to Schuylerville, NY where the find folks hosted us at Mac's Diner on Broad Street. We had a great time and thanks to everyone who came out to see us. Check out the gallery for some photos of our visit.

At each stop of the Small Town Tour we're recognizing a citizen who has gone the extra mile for the community and for our final stop on the spring leg of the Small Town Tour we recognize Maggie Chiperno.

Your Town Thursday  has been happening on Friday's lately as part of our Small Town Tour. For our final stop on this leg of the tour we give Schuylerville the theme song treatment.

The final stop on our Small Town Tour with the Sean & Richie Show is in Schuylerville, NY at Mac's Diner. Settled by the Dutch and populated by the Schuyler family, this village has been around for many, many generations. The village is also a very historic place with a revolutionary war battle fought in the backyard, quite literally. Join us - map and directions after the jump.

First, I want to thank everyone who wrote in to nominate people for the Schuylerville Citizen of the year. We received many amazing nominations. We have narrowed it down to 2 very deserving individuals who both had multiple nominations.  Now it is your turn once again, we need your vote!

The Sean and Richie Show is coming to Schuylerville this Friday morning for the "Small Town Tour". And we need your help. We would love to honor a member of the community as Schuylerville's,  "Citizen of the year". So we need your recommendations, now.

Last year, after Hurricane Irene devastated the Albany area, I took my Reading, Writing & Rhyming program to Schoharie Elementary to write a song with the kids about strength and rebuilding their mostly destroyed community.

Another Friday, another successful broadcast with the Sean & Richie Show on the third stop of the Small Town Tour. This week was especially touching to be among so many who have had such hardship and faced such great odds nearly a year ago. Check out some photos of Schoharie and of our broadcast after the jump!

At each stop of the Small Town Tour we've been asking people for nominations from members of their community who have made a huge difference. In Schoharie there are a lot of people who have been instrumental in rebuilding this community but one person stood out among all. Congrats to Sarah Goodrich, you're our Citizen of The Year for Schoharie.
