Country Music Hall of Famer George Strait 'shocked' many viewers when he was announced as the 2013 CMA Entertainer of the Year.

Lee Greenwood is a show business legend every music fan should see at least once! Outside of the Country Music genre he's best known for his signature 'God Bless The U.S.A.' and his Grammy winning crossover smash 'I.O.U,' but there's so much more to this CMA and Grammy Award winner!

This is total opinion. I will try not to blab on here, but I really, honestly feel this way about this supposedly fun, innocent holiday. Here goes.

On Monday, Alan Jackson packed New York's prestigious Carnegie Hall. The celebration was focused on his new project titled The Bluegrass Album.

Tyler Farr's first three singles are a fair representation of his debut album 'Redneck Crazy.' There's a little pain, a little heart and a little cray-cray. The singer relies on his unique voice, but nothing about the project feels self-indulgent.

Now I'm sure most parents think their kids are just the greatest in the world, They like to think they are smarter, better looking and more talented than everyone else's kids. For most people this is just not true, but in my case , well I guess I got lucky! :)

Luke Bryan plays it safe on 'Crash My Party,' his new album and the follow-up to the tremendously successful 'Tailgates and Tanlines.' With the exception of the infusion of hip-hop on two songs, there is little to differentiate the two projects.

SO today I took  a very informal poll on my Facebook asking people what show the love that most people haven't even heard of. By that standard, I pretty much excluded most shows on network TV and the blockbuster shows on the pay channels. It still left me a long list of shows to go through.

Thanks to Michael Buble, Harry Connick Jr., and Rod Stewart's successful albums honoring the 'Great American Songbook,' more and more music fans are discovering or re-discovering some of the greatest songs that have stood the test of time.  However, there are a few of those 'original' crooners still out there, like 87 year-old Tony Bennett (Born Aug. 3, 1926).

Joan Rivers- the Fahsion Police Diva- deilvers! One might be hesitant to see an 80 year-old performer live in concert, but this is one entertainer that's just as exciting, relevant, and energetic as the new stars of today.
