Tonight is the season finale of NBC'S "The Voice". Even if you have not been watching this season , I think there is a very good reason to tune in tonight. Cassadee Pope. She is one of three finalist and one of two people left from Blake Shelton's team.

If she wins, and she should, it will be Blake's second consecutive win but that isn't why I want her to win. I want her to win because she is one of the few people in the world who truly have a knack for really getting inside the words and music of a song and interpreting it in a way that is real and meaningful.

This is of course the main reason that Country music stars are so popular. Country music, more than any other genre of music is about the words, the message, and you can't just be a good singer, you have to be a good interpreter to be a star in Country Music.

Cassadee did not come from Country, she didn't even start out on the show singing Country music, but it's become clear through  the weeks that that is where she belongs. I do hope that she chooses that path and if she does, she just may be the next Superstar in our corner of the music world.

Don't take my word for it, watch this video of where her Country journey began, Blake decided to let her take a crack at his most meaningful song. A song he co--wrote with his wife Miranda Lambert about the passing of his brother. Miranda recorded it beautifully and had a huge hit with it but I have to say, though it may be blasphemy, I think Cassadee did it even better!

I get goosebumps every time I watch this video, let me know what you think. Especially if you have not seen her before or seen this particular performance. I will be rooting for her tonight!

Here she is from earlier in the season on "The Voice":
