To keep with the lead up to Memorial Day, and my cookout (that I'm not actually having), here is another great recipe, courtesy of Kraftrecipes.com. While it is nice to do the traditional bbq of whatever entree you desire, it's also nice to mix things up a bit when it comes to appetizers.  While most of the food you prepare will get eaten, of course, appetizers are the first thing guests nibble on because that's when they are the hungriest!  Here is a really different, yet easy appetizer that doesn't take too many ingredients to prepare. (I hate too many ingredients!)

.

.

What you need:

1 tub (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread
1/2 cup  MIRACLE WHIP Dressing
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil, drained, chopped
2 Tbsp.  finely chopped fresh chives
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp.  freshly ground black pepper

One easy step:

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl
.
When serving this appetizer, you can either put crackers, veggies or both!  Let's go crazy, right?  Maybe you have some low carb guests and maybe you have carbaolic guests.  Or if any of your guests are like me, they like the best of both worlds.
.
The other thing that is great about this recipe/appetizer is that you can make it 24 hours in advance.  So to save the stress of trying to prepare everything the morning of your Memorial Day bbq, save some time by preparing this dip the night or day before.  The other good thing about preparing it a little earlier than later is that like wine, it tastes better the longer it lingers.
